Marcos García Pedraza
Founder and Managing Partner

Marcos is the founder and a managing partner of orgart Ltd.

He has been working within the healthcare sector for over 15 years. Prior to founding orgart he co-founded divers enterprises and held several senior positions in the pharma/biotech and the finance industry. He co-founded and was CEO of the ETH-spin-off evalueSCIENCE, a scientific due diligence service provider, worked as Client Executive with Evalueserve, a leading provider of knowledge process outsourcing services, was COO at BIOPUR, a Swiss biotech company founded in 1994, and Assistant Vice President of Actuary and Asset-Liability Management at
Credit Suisse Life. During his PhD at the University of St.Gallen he co-founded RISE, a research initiative for the study of strategic management and entrepreneurship, and START, an organization dedicated to the promotion of entrepreneurship.

In 2002 he was awarded "Entrepreneur of the Year" by Ernst&Young Switzerland in the category "Supporter of Entrepreneurship" with the START team and received the "New Entrepreneurs in Technology and Science" Prize by the Gebert Ruef Foundation. He is a member of different societies within and outside Switzerland. Amongst others, he is CTI coach at CTI Start-up, an initiative of the Swiss Confederation's Innovation Promotion Agency CTI since 1996.

Marcos holds an PhD from the University of St.Gallen in business economics, an MSc from the ETH Zürich in Life Sciences and was trained in entrepreneurship at Babson College, Boston.

He is a passionated contemporary art collector and was member of the legendary art collective etoy.
